Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems is pleased to announce the addition of a new series of Smart Nightlight Wall Switch Sensors to its line of energy-efficient wiring device solutions.

Smart Nightlight Wall Switch Sensors use passive infrared technology to sense when a space is occupied. To provide extra comfort and safety without the disturbance of an always-on nightlight, it activates only when it detects motion.

It also provides just the right amount of the light to safely locate the switch so it can be manually turned on by pressing the front button if needed. Once the room has been vacated, the automatic-off operation maximizes savings by turning off the lights if left on.

WS2001NSxx Series Smart Nightlight Wall Switch Sensors are designed to support a wide range of commercial, hospitality, and residential applications, from multifamily dwellings to hotel rooms and patient rooms. The sensors can be used in 120V and 277V applications and with common lighting types, including LED.

Installation is quick and easy, with no neutral required, and a shallow, 1-inch depth that allows the Smart Nightlight Wall Switch Sensors to be installed in existing applications as well.

Two units can be wired together for a three-way application. The unit features independent timers the nightlight and normal lighting load to maximize operation flexibility. To meet the specific requirements of individual applications, each timer can be set between a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 30 minutes.

“Smart Nightlight Wall Switch Sensors provide lighting only when it’s needed, keeping users comfortable and ensuring that they don’t have to worry about remembering to turn the light off when they leave a space,” says Michael Freney, Product Manager at Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems. “This is not only convenient, but also reduces utility costs and saves energy.”
