While-in-use covers protect receptacles and plugs from water or chemicals both indoors or outdoors. The attractive new stainless-steel cover from Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems supports hygienic design and withstands harsh environments.
This stainless-steel cover is ideal for applications where corrosion and sanitation are vital concerns. Constructed of heavy-duty 316 stainless steel, the polished surfaces provide an excellent finish and allow for easy cleaning. Smooth, rounded edges leave no place for debris to get trapped.
The cover is UL Type 3R Listed, both rain-tight and sleet/ice resistant. It is also extra duty rated for outdoor wet location applications. All markings on the cover are laser engraved to preserve cleanability. The attached closed cell foam gasket creates a secure seal.
The 1-gang vertical cover installs quickly and securely to standard weatherproof electrical boxes. Included adapter plates allow it to work with GFCI, standard duplex, or Twist-Lock® receptacles as well as switches. The OSHA-compliant lockable tab can be used when closed or while in-use.
Superior chemical and corrosion resistance makes this new stainless-steel while-in-use cover ideal for use in applications such as food and beverage production, water and wastewater treatment, chemical processing, pulp and paper mills, coastal facilities, or other corrosive environments.
